The Langtang Valley is rich in flora and fauna with the abundant nature. Lush green pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged terrain, snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas are the main high lights of the trek.
In the upper part of the valley there are snowy ridges, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes as bright as crystals and glaciated mountain hulks. Langtang is also home to a wide variety of wildlife; including the endangered red panda and snow leopard; Himalayan black bear; Himalayan thar; langur monkeys and many bird species. Beyond Langtang village is the summer settlement of Kyanjin with its small gompa and cheese factory. The quiet small valley is dominated by the fluted northwest face of Gangchenpo whilst Kyanjin Ri (4,708 m) provides a splendid viewpoint. The views from here are as spectacular as anywhere in the Himalaya, a 360 degree panorama of snow capped peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Pemathang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, Tilman's fluted peak.
The other highlighting part of the trek is the holy shimmering lake - Gosainkund after crossing Laurabina Pass. Yet another pass – Gopte takes the trail down stunningly beautiful Helambu region. The local people in the region are Yholmoli, Tamang, Sherpa are Bhudhists and Brahmans and Tsetri are Hindus. They are friendly people. All along the trail and after the pass as well, breathtaking view of Himalayan panorama is really phenomenal and never out of sight.
