Simikot – Mt. Kailash
Since the Nepal China tans Himalayan boarder at this point was open for travelers in 1993, Simikot, Humla to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar many travelers can trek-in & out this route. This route is the shortest and most practical for trekkers in terms of elevation and distance. Besides that, it treats its visitors with astounding views and great richness in culture and history. The trek/tour to Mt. Kailash starts from Simiko (2910m.) and climbs up to Nara La pass (4530 meters) before reaching the arid Tibetan Plateau. From Simikot it is a 6-day’s journey to reach the Tibetan border town, Shera.
From Kathmandu to Simikot flight is via Nepalgunj. Flights to Simikot only operate in the morning, so we have one overnight in Nepalgunj to catch the early morning flight the next day. This trip, Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar normally finishes at Zhang-Mu if you drive out. Some take journey to Lhasa to fly out

Day 01: Fly to Nepalgunj One night hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Simikot (2856m) trek to Darapari (2400m).
Day 03: Trek to Kermi (2550m).
Day 04: Trek to Yalbang Gompa (2900m).
Day 05: Trek to Tumkot Khola (2800m).
Day 06: Trek to Thado Dunga (3800m).
Day 07: Trek to Nara Pass, 4450m and go further to Hilsa, 3650m.

Day 09: Drive further to Manasrovar lake, stay beside the lake.

Day 12: Trek to Drira Puk / Zultruk Puk (4680 metres) after Dolma La pass (5660m).

Day 15: Drive to Zangmu - Kodari and to Kathmandu.
