Nepal Hill to Himalaya trek is for all enthusiast trekkers who want to combine Nepal’s culture and nature starting from lower hills and gradually up to the laps of the great Himalayan mountains and base camps. This trekking trip provides a wide variety of experiences; fertile valleys rich in culture, thriving towns, awe inspiring tough life of mountain people in low to high lands. On the other hand, serene beauty of un spoilt nature and breath taking views of the Himalayan mountains are simply amazing from Poon 
Hill. The Hill to Himalaya trek is divided into two stages, the first stage just warming up and the second stage gradually higher to the lap of Himalayan mountains of Annapurna and Macchapuchhre.

Stage – I.  Warm up Trek;

Warm up trek starts from lower part of the beautiful foot hills that are famous for stunning Himalayan panoramic views and quiet rural villages. This first stage of trekking will give you a chance to get your muscle tuned up and get fitter for the higher altitude trek.      

Route Highlight:   Scenic drive along Trishuli river, through lively colorful towns, terraced farmlands, Sarangkot hill view point -  trek along  hill ridge, Chandrakot – through Gurung villages and almost along looking at Himalayan views of  Mt. Annapurna, Ganapurna, Machhapuchhre, Niligiri and many more.
Day

01. Transfer to Pokhara, 200 Km. overland drive and Overnight in the Himalayan lake town.
Route:  Drive on Tribhuvan highway via Naubise, Malekhu, Kuringhat, Muglin, Anbukhaireni, Damauali, small villages and towns and along Trishuli river, Marsyangdi and Seti rivers.

02. Hike up to Sarangkot (1720m)  
Route: It’s about 3.5 hours walk all the way up overlooking Pokhara valley and Phewa lake.
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, photogenic Machhapuchhre, Mardi, Niligiri, …     

03. Chandrakot (1565m) via Naudanda (1430m), 
Route: It’s about 4.5 hours walk along hill ridge through jungle mostly on rough road track.
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Mardi, Niligiri and Pokhara valley.

04. Pitam Deurali (2100m) via Tanchok
Route: It’s about 5 hours walk through small villages, jungle and some ups and downs. 
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Niligiri.

Stage – II.  Stronger and Higher to Himalaya;

05.         Jino (1750m), hot spring              
Route: It’s about 4.5 hours walk via Lhandruk village dropping down to Modi river valley and to  little hill lock village. Some 15 min. walk down to river bank are natural hot water pools. 
View: Tip of Annapurnas, river valley,  beautiful Ghandruk village on the other side.

06.         Bamboo (2335m.)
Route: steep up hill trail to Chhomrong big village, Shinuwa and dropping down to Modi river valley and to Bamboo by the river side village. About 6 hours walk.
View: Himalayn mountain view  -  Annapurnas and Hiuchuli.

07.         Himalaya Hotel (3270m.)
Route: Following Modi river upstream through thick jungle and gradually climbing up to small village. About 5 hours walk. 
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, and Hiuchuli getting open.

08.         Machhapuchhre BC (3700m.)
Route: About 5 hours walk gradually up following the river valley past Hinko cave, Deurali and steep up trail in the last step. 
View: fascinating views of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Niligiri get closer and higher.

09.         Machhapuchhre BC (3700m.) after visiting Annapurna BC (4130m.)
Route: About 3 hours walk up through glacier trail to the base camp. Early morning walk is rewarded with stunning sun rise view over the Himalayan mountains. The way back is just about 2 hours.
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Niligiri.

10.        Dovan (2870m.)
Route: Walking back the same way down to Modi river valley. About 5 hours walk past Deurali and Himalayan hotel villages.
         View: Only some tips of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas.

11.        Chhomrong (2130m)  
Route: About 6 hours walk following down stream river valley past Shinuwa and climbing up to big village at last leg. 
View: Some view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas and Hiuchuli from Chhomrong.

12.        Tadapani (2595m.)
        Route: About 5 hours walk at level and up hill through rhododendron jungle.
View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Niligiri can be seen through tree canopy.

13.        Ghorepani  (2750m.)
Route: About 4 hours walking trail mix of level, little up and down along the ridge through rhododendron jungle.

View: fascinating view of Himalayan mountains -  Annapurnas, Ganapurna, Machhapuchhre, Hiuchuli, Niligiri, Dhaulagiri gets wide open on the Northern and Eastern horizon.

14.         Ghorepani after visiting Poon Hill (3210m.)
        Route: About 1.5 hours steep up walk to the famous view point Poon Hill, is the main highlight of the trek.
        View:  Beautiful view of Himalayan mountains panorama -  Annapurnas, Ganapurna, Machhapuchhre, Hiuchuli, Niligiri, Dhaulagiri.

15.         Nayapul and transfer to Pokhara

        Route: About 6 hours walk down hill through jungle, via Ulleri, Tirkhe Dhunga, Birethanti villages and to the road end point. 
View: Pokhara valley and surrounding green hills, Ulleri and Tirkhe Dhunga Gurung villages.
