Nims World Record of +8000 m. 14 Himalayan Summits

The mountaineer Nirmal Purja nicknamed 'Nims', 36 years old from Myagdi Nepal stood on top of Mt. Shishapangma in Tibet, China on 29th Oct. Tuesday totaling his Himalayan mountain summits 14th above 8000 meter high, 8 in Nepal among them. He set the world record achieving this amazing fastest feat just in 6 months 6 days breaking all old world records of mountaineering summits. It was planned to succeed in 7 months with the theme, ‘Project Possible 14:7’. He left his job in British Gurkha Special Force in pursuit of this mountaineering dream with a start of successful ascent of Mt. Annapurna on 23rd April this year and concluded the other day on Shishapangma. Other successful summits followed with other Himalayan mountains – Dhaulagiri, Kanchanjunga, Sagarmatha (Everest), Lhotse, Makalu, Nangga Parvat, Ghaserbrum I, Ghaserbrum II,  K2, Broad Peak, Cho Yu and Manaslu in between. He has a plan to spend the money raised for charity. Bravo Nims !
