Almost all Nepal earthquake victims are still living in their make shift shelters and crumbled houses. This winter has been torturing for them specially the last three weeks due to rain and heavy snow. There was fresh heavy snow also on Tuesday aggravating the situation. Even it is not under the planned program, we at MESO again have been trying to extend little warmth to the needy people in the remote mountain villages. Last week, we distributed 50 sets of warm clothings (woolen cap, fleece jacket and sleeping bag) to elderly people (60 + age) in Haku village of Rasuwa district. These poor people were very happy to receive these warm clothes. From Dhunche, it is 5 hours walk one way steep up and down to this high mountain remote village where almost all houses have collapsed. We carried warm clothings with help of porters. Back & forth Kathmandu, it was 4 days trip. See some photo updates below;
